Georgia lands nation’s No. 1 recruit for 2024 class

The rich continue to get richer in recruiting.

Georgia landed the No. 1 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class on Monday, as Arizona high school quarterback Dylan Raiola said he was committed to the two-time defending national champion Bulldogs. He was previously committed to Ohio State, but decommitted in December.

He made Monday’s announcement via Twitter:

Raiola (6-foot-3, 220 pounds) had scholarship offers from most of the major recruiting powers in college football, including Alabama, Notre Dame, USC, Texas, Texas A&M and Michigan. The son of former Nebraska and NFL offensive lineman Dominic Raiola, he threw for 2,435 yards and 22 touchdowns as a junior at Pinnacle High School in Phoenix after playing his sophomore year in Burleson, Texas.

Alabama commit Julian Sayin is rated the No. 2 quarterback in the 2024 class, just behind Raiola. Sayin committed to the Crimson Tide in November.
